Cruise to Alaska with Mrs. Green, leaving Seattle on September 18, 2009 with stops in Juneau, Glacier Bay, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria. Mrs. Green and Company will go to Sea on Holland America’s MS Zaandam, the first “green” cruise ship.

Guests who join Mrs. Green on the cruise will be able to participate in an exciting ”Green Adventure Series” presented throughout the seven day cruise on board the ship by renowned experts in various fields who all share one common interest – making our planet a safer, better place to live.

These pictures aren't so great, but it is neat to take a picture and post it straight to the internet (blog) while waiting in line (bored) waiting to get into the event

Once inside we waited in two or three more lines, but the lines did die down after 8pm

Food Drive at 2008 Tucson Oktoberfest

The Community Food Bank will conduct a two day food drive at the 2008 Tucson Oktoberfest on Thursday, October 2nd from 5:00 to 10:00 PM and Friday October 3rd from 12 Noon to 5:00 PM. Attendees who donate two cans of food during those hours will be admitted free.

The Tucson Oktoberfest is a four day festival and family event at Hi Corbett Field, 3400 E. Camino Campestre in Tucson. The dates and times for the Tucson Oktoberfest are Thursday, October 2nd - 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Friday, October 3rd -12 Noon to 11:00 PM, Saturday, October 4th -10:00 AM to 11:00 PM and Sunday, October 5th - 12 Noon to 6:00 PM.

This is the 7th year for the Tucson Oktoberfest and will feature 100 Arts and Crafts Booths, a 50% larger children’s play area, constant live entertainment and great food. For information on the 2008 Oktoberfest log onto http://www.tucsonoktoberfest.org/
The Community Food Bank food drive will be located at the main entrance. Most needed items, this time of the year, are canned meats, canned vegetables, canned soups, cereal, peanut butter, canned fruit and canned tomato products. Please, no pre-opened items or glass container.
