Ordering at Greek fest

Ordering at Greek fest

This message was sent using the cell phone while in line for food at Greek Festival 2008 in Tucson, Arizona

These pictures aren't so great, but it is neat to take a picture and post it straight to the internet (blog) while waiting in line (bored) waiting to get into the event

Waiting in line for Greek festival at 6:46 Sat nite
Picture taken and sent from cell phone while waiting in line (about 45mins-hour for us)
Once inside we waited in two or three more lines, but the lines did die down after 8pm

Bats and Music Under a Tucson Bridge

Bat Country Under Tucson Bridges!

by FrankHarris on 09/18/08 at 7:44 pm

A bevy of bats billow out from the bridgeI have to say, it was just a series of little pink signs with clever rhymes, but seeing them day by day up and down Campbell Avenue definitely did a good job of intriguing me. I’d long seen bats flitting around at twilight in my neighborhood, and had wondered where it was they might sleep during the day. I definitely hadn’t been able to imagine any caves within the city, and I didn’t think they’d fly so far as to come from open desert…but under any of the bridges crossing the Rillito River? There was only one way to find out, and that was to attend Bat Night!
